Extra-Curricular Clubs

Below is a table of the after school clubs that will be available for terms 3 & 4 2016-2017.

 

The list of successful applicants will be available in the information area from Friday 13th January.

 

Clubs will begin on week commencing Monday 16th September. 

Uphill Primary School

Extra Curricular Clubs – Terms 3 & 4 2016-17

 

MONDAY

 

 

Tennis Club –

Yrs 4, 5 & 6

Superstars; Mr Shone

Meet: Outside Hall

Join Superstars to learn how to play or improve your skills at tennis.

Maximum of 12 children.

Weather dependent.

Children to change in Pegasus Class

Chess Club – Yrs 4, 5 & 6

Mrs Frise & Mr Miles

Meet: Old Library

From beginner to expert – we welcome anyone who would like to play chess.

Maximum of 16 children. Open to boys and girls.

TUESDAY

 

 

Dance Club – Yrs 3,4, 5 & 6

Mrs Duffill

Meet Hall

Cost 10 wks x £2 = £20

A dance club focussing on contemporary and modern dance techniques.

Priority will be given to previous club members.

Maximum of 20 children

 

Cross Country - Yrs 5 & 6

Mr Clark & Mrs Goode

Meet Pegasus classroom

Improve your running with cross country, following different routes each week including hill running.

Maximum of 16 children

Children must be able & willing to run a minimum of 2 miles continuously

Art Club – Year 1 only

Mrs Maynes

Meet Chandra Class

Join Mrs Maynes for some creative art activities.

Maximum 10 children. Only open to Year 1 pupils

WEDNESDAY

 

 

Treasure Seekers KS2 only

Mrs Britton

Wednesday until 4.30pm

Meet Hall

This club has lots of games and activities 

 

 

Maximum of 20 children.

Please be aware there is a religious Christian aspect to this club

Football Club **

Mr Clapham

Meet Field

Cost £3 per week

Improve your football skills and have fun playing in a team.

Children change on the field/gazebo.

Fees payable directly to Mr Clapham each week.

Newspaper Club (LUNCHTIME)

Yrs 5 & 6

Mrs Hodder at 12.35pm

Meet ICT

 

Newspaper club will continue with the brilliant work they started last term.

This year they will be producing our school newsletter three times per year celebrating all our extra curricular activities.

Maximum 12 children. Open to new ‘reporters’ as well as existing members.

NOTE: This is a LUNCHTIME club for terms 3 & 4

THURSDAY

 

 

Choir – KS1 & KS2

Meet: Hall

Join the school choir. There are lots of performances this year – so get ready!

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF DAY FOR CHOIR

*Young Voices Club will be held on 11th, 18th & 25th January for existing members. No form is required.

 

Important Information about Clubs

 

  • Clubs will start week commencing 16th January 2017.

 

  • If your child wishes to join a club then please complete the form attached.

ONE SLIP PER CHILD, PER CLUB PLEASE.

 

  • Forms MUST be returned no later than end of school day on Wednesday 11th January.

 

  • All extra curricular clubs start at 3.15pm and end at 4.15pm except Treasure Seekers & Newspaper Club.

 

  • If clubs are over subscribed, places will be allocated on a draw basis. Club lists will be displayed in the information area by Friday 13th January.

 

  • Dance Club bookings must be paid via ParentPay by Monday 16th January. Your child’s place will be withdrawn if payment is not made by this date.

 

  • If your child misses 2 consecutive weeks of a club that is over subscribed, without prior notice, the place will be allocated to another child on the waiting list.

 

  • If your child is allowed to walk home alone after an after school club please state this on the form. Children should be collected from the front playground.

 

 

** A registration form (available from Mr Clapham) MUST be completed before your child can be left unattended at this club.

Parents are welcome to watch Football Club, however access into the school will not be allowed once the gates are locked. Any children/siblings remaining with parents to watch must stay with parents on the field. This is to ensure the safety and care of our Fabulous Fun Club children and other children attending other clubs. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

 

Top
