Year 5/6 boy's football

The Year 5/6 boy's football team played host to the team from St Marks Primary in the first knockout stage of the North Somerset Intra Schools Football Tournament.  Both teams were playing for a place in the next round and you could tell by the effort and determination they all put in.  Our team played brilliantly but sadly lost out to a very accomplished opposition.  Our defence was especially strong and succeeded in keeping the score very close.  The match could quite easily have had a different result. Well done boys.

Year 5/6 kurling
This month we took a small team to compete in the intra schools kurling competition.  This is a great event where children with little experience of the sport are able to compete against each other in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Well done to all the children for joining in and trying their best.  Thanks also to Mrs Saunders and Miss Rust for accompanying them.

Year 5/6 dodgeball

Well done to our team who attended the intra schools dodgeball tournament.  This is a fantastic event and another chance for children to compete in a less mainstream sport.  We took a team who all joined in and had a lot of fun.  Special mention to Arthur Scheuler who volunteered to join a team made up of a mix of children from other schools.  His team came third overall and won bronze medals. Well done!

Thanks to Mrs Saunders and Mrs Mercer for getting everyone safely there and back.
