Sports Day had a bit of a change this year, offering new KS2 track events and eight new field events. There were over 20 races including a skipping race, a 75m sprint, a 200m sprint and a fancy dress relay. When the points were totalled for the events the House winners of the KS2 Sports day were Kestrels.
KS1 and EYFS were split into their year groups within each House. There were 12 field events, including a football dribbling race, a balancing event, a water activity and even a javelin competition. As with the KS2 sports day the events were very competitive and the winners of the KS1 Sports day were Kestrels.
Unfortunately, the rain came towards the end of our KS1 races but the KS1 children soldiered on through the final 60m races. We were sorry to not be able to accommodate the family picnic due to the rain and thank you for your understanding in vacating the school grounds.
We would like to say a special thanks to Ade Bowen for comparing the event and Mr Clark and Mr Shone for organising the day.
We would like to thank all the parents and families that came along to support their children. Thank you also to the PTFA for supplying refreshments throughout the morning.
