E Safety Parent Workshop
Thursday 27th February 2020 2.15 - 3.15 pm in the Hall
This workshop is open to all parents and carers of children in Key Stage 2 (years 3 to 6). The workshop will cover how to keep children safe on the internet and when using social media. It is being run by Adele Sutton who works for the Revealed Project. Adele has also been working with our year 5/6 children recently.
On Monday 9th December 2019 we held our first parent workshop in the Community Room. This was for parents of children in Foundation, Year One, Year Two and Year Three. Our focus for this workshop was: ways to support your child with things they find difficult, advice on different behaviour strategies, dealing with a change of circumstance at home, establishing successful routines. We were joined by Sarah Morrison who is an experienced behaviour coach.
Thank you to all those parents who were able to join us for our first parent workshop. It was a positive session that was very informal with lots of ideas and ways to help your child. Here is some of the feedback we received
“informal setting and opportunity to speak with other parents”
“being able to talk freely and listen to other parents”
“being able to share real life situations and how I can manage them for my child”
The feedback we received was good so we will definitely be doing more and we will try to vary the times so that as many people as possible will be able to access them.
Look out for information on the next workshop on our website, in the newsletter and in your children’s book bags.
